Future of Literacy

0%

In today’s increasingly digital world, it’s essential to rethink how literacy skills are developed and applied—so that young people are equipped to succeed now and in the future.

Over the past decade, we’ve conducted extensive research into how literacy operates in digital environments, with a focus on the role of multimodal forms of literacy in fostering both skills and engagement.

We’re now inviting a wide range of perspectives to help us explore the broader implications of this research—looking at literacy through the lenses of learning, life, and work.

You’re welcome to respond to any section that feels most relevant to you. While the survey is structured around these three areas, we also encourage you to share any additional thoughts or insights beyond this framework. If you're interested in continuing the conversation further, we’d be glad to hear from you.

The data from the survey is only used by us, the National Literacy Trust. All data is stored and handled according to GDPR. You have the right to ask us to delete your responses at any point without giving us a reason.
